There is nothing quite like the sound of thousands of voices singing in perfect harmony. At Lift St Helen's, we are proud to attend Young Voices, the largest children’s choir concert series in the world. This incredible opportunity allows our Key Stage 2 pupils to move from the classroom to the arena, performing as part of a massive choir of over 5,000 children.
Children from Years 3 through 6 are invited to join our school choir. Here, we meet weekly to learn the official "Young Voices" songs. Every year features a brand-new, diverse catalogue of music. From pop medleys and folk songs to rock classics and urban beats, our pupils learn a wide range of musical styles and challenging vocal arrangements.
When the Spring Term arrives, the excitement reaches a fever pitch. We travel to the Sheffield Arena for a full day of rehearsals with professional conductors, live bands, and world-class guest artists.
As the sun sets and the audience fills the stands, our students become the stars of the show. Performing under professional stage lights in a major venue is an experience that stays with our pupils forever, boosting their confidence, resilience, and passion for the arts.
